The Bilt Palladium Card is one of those rare premium cards thatโs not trying to bribe you into loving it with a million confusing perks. If youโre the kind of person who hates category optimization (or just doesnโt want to be doing mental math), this card could be a good option for you. Youโre earning up to 1.25x on rent and mortgage, plus points on everyday purchases, and you also have the option to earn Bilt Cash on everyday spend (up to $100 of Bilt Cash earned rolls over to the next year), which adds up quickly if you put real spend on one card.

At Daily Drop, our mission is simple: to help you explore the world affordably and experience life-changing travel by maximizing miles and points. Our team of travel and credit card experts is here to help you make decisions about which cards belong in your wallet. Based on your travel goals, we offer unbiased advice to help you make the best choices. Keep in mind that our suggestions require responsible credit card use.
Here at Daily Drop, we score credit cards using a proprietary formula based on dozens of metrics across six key categories: annual fee, welcome offer, rewards rates, redemption value, benefits & perks, and travel protections. Higher scores indicate better overall value.
We net the annual fee against statement credits you'll likely use and focus on a welcome offerโs true return on spending (ROI) rather than just the headline number. We value rewards by their actual worth in cents per point, which is why flexible, transferable points typically score highest. APR is not a standalone scoring category because we recommend paying in full to maximize points and miles, but an intro 0% APR counts as a perk.
Our reviews are editorial and experience-driven. Our team has earned and redeemed millions of miles and points and tested these cards around the world. After all, we would not be Daily Drop if we were not practicing what we preach.

I've had the Bilt Palladium Card (see rates & fees) since the day Bilt 2.0 went live. Using the card to pay my mortgage provides a steady stream of Bilt Points each month, but the real reason this card has a permanent place in my wallet is that once you set up a Points Accelerator using Bilt Cash, the card delivers a functional 3x on all spend. Bilt Cash is meant to be used, so don't hoard it (though up to $100 of Bilt Cash earned rolls over to the next year).
It does take some math up front to make sure you're spending the right amount of money on the card to earn points on your rent or mortgage, then you can set it on autopilot for the rest of the year. After a bit of planning, it's the perfect lazy card. No flow chart of bonus categories taped to the fridge, no muttering "wait, which one earns more here?" as you search through a dozen cards in your wallet. It's a great card if you want to keep your wallet simple, or you can give it to your P2 without a second thought.
The $495 fee (see rates & fees) is not insignificant, but the hotel credits and Priority Pass membership are easy to maximize for most travelers, and Rent Day on the first of each month regularly bring staggering transfer bonuses. Better still, Bilt has some of the most well-rounded transfer partners, with 1:1 transfers to Hyatt (still our hotel MVP, even post-devaluation) and one of the easiest ways to earn Atmos points.

[.pro] You can earn up to 1.25x on rent and mortgage payments with no transaction fee [.pro]
[.pro] Credits are straightforward and help cover the annual fee [.pro]

[.con] Pretty steep annual fee, and the value depends on you actually using the credits [.con]

The best way to maximize your Bilt Points is to redeem them for travel. That's what we're all here for, isn't it?
โ
[.dontreco] We donโt recommend: Redeeming for Bilt's "Everyday Rewards" [.dontreco]
While you can redeem your points for gift cards, Amazon.com, fitness classes, Lyft rides, or for Bilt's home design collection, these options simply don't provide the best value.
โ
[.sometimesreco] We sometimes recommend: Using the Bilt Travel Portal [.sometimesreco]
You can redeem your points for flights, hotels and Blade helicopter rides through Bilt Travel Portal, which can be helpful if you can't find award space with transfer partners. However, you're only getting a fixed 1.25 cents apiece, and you can usually get much better value than this when transferring to travel partners.
โ
[.alwaysreco] We always recommend: Using transfer partners to stretch your points. [.alwaysreco]
The bottom line is that transferring your Bilt points to their fantastic lineup of airline and hotel partners yields the greatest value.

Hereโs a good rule of thumb: You probably shouldnโt own a credit card if you: (1) have a bad credit score, (2) are a non-U.S. resident (for this particular card), and (3) cannot control your spending. If your credit score is low, you'll need to improve it before applying for travel credit cards, as approval for the best ones is unlikely. Be honest with yourself: if a new credit card will tempt you to overspend, it's best to avoid it. Credit cards are crucial for earning miles and points, but they require responsible use.
The Bilt Palladium Card generally requires an excellent credit score for approval.
