☀️ Goooooooooooood morning!
Welcome back to Daily Drop, where we serve up a well-balanced meal of points and miles every morning.
Today, we’ve got all the important food groups:

💘 The ultimate credit card power couple
There’s a trap a lot of people fall into with credit cards.
They try to find the one perfect card to use for everything… and that’s fine, but there’s no one-size-fits-all solution.
The better move is to pair two cards that complement each other – so each handles a specific type of spending.
And one of the simplest (and most effective) setups right now is pairing the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card with the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card.
The reason to be thinking about this right now is because the Venture card is offering an insane deal.
You’ll get a $300 credit to use for hotels and vacation rentals booked through Capital One Travel immediately upon approval (to use in your first cardholder year, so don’t sit on it).
Then, you’ll earn 75,000 Capital One miles after spending $4,000 in the first three months.
Then, there’s the pairing. 👇
How this actually works
Think of it like this:
The Savor card is what you use for your everyday spending – restaurants, groceries, going out, streaming, all the stuff you’re already spending money on.
The Venture card is your catch-all for everything else, earning 2x miles on every purchase.
So instead of juggling categories or overthinking every purchase, you’re basically just using:
The Savor card for food and fun
The Venture card for everything else
On its own, the Savor card earns cash back, including elevated earnings on those categories I mentioned above.
Which is fine… but not that exciting.
The reason this setup works so well is that when you hold both cards, you can move the cash back rewards earned on the Savor card into your Venture card as miles.
So you’re earning:
3% cash back on dining (except superstores like Walmart and Target), groceries, entertainment, and streaming – which becomes 3x miles when you also hold the Venture card
2x miles on everything else
Now you’re earning more miles on basically all your spending.
Why this is so valuable
Miles are usually worth more than straight cash back when you use them well.
You can use them to:
Cover travel purchases (up to 90 days afterwards)
Book through Capital One Travel
Transfer to airline and hotel partners for outsized value
That last option is how you unlock the best and highest-value redemptions out there.
For example, you can transfer your miles to Flying Blue and book domestic flights on Delta (and there’s even a 20% transfer bonus right now):

With those 3x categories we talked about, every $1,300 you spend would basically unlock a free flight.
Why I like this combo
The best part about this combo is that the combined annual fee between both cards is still just $95, since the Savor card has no annual fee.
This means you don’t need to worry about paying massive fees up front, juggling credits, and stressing out.
It’s also nice because you just focus on the categories where the Savor card earns more points. EVERYTHING else is just one bucket: Venture card spending.
The bottom line
Individually, both of these cards are solid.
But when you combine the two, you end up with a setup that’s simple, efficient, and rewarding.

🌎 Atmos Global Getaways is back
Atmos Rewards is out with their latest Global Getaways promotion. As always, this month’s list is a lot of fun.
In case you don’t know, Global Getaways is a monthly promo where Atmos Rewards flights are discounted heavily to specific destinations – usually with a theme.
This month’s theme is “Lights, camera, departure,” and features destinations from popular TV shows and movies.

Again, I gotta say… WELL DONE, ATMOS!
Travel is supposed to be fun, and I like that Atmos comes up with deals like this that are interesting, valuable, and fun.
Before we get into the meat of it, here is the fine print:
You must book these awards by November 7, a very short window
Each destination has a different travel window, either January 15 through May 12 or December 1 through March 10
You must book these flights with Atmos Rewards points
As for the destinations themselves, half of them are in Hawaii:

To be clear, these prices are from anywhere in the U.S…
So you could fly from cities like Boston or New York to Līhuʻe, Kona, Honolulu, or Maui for just 11,500 points, which is freaking awesome.
Other destinations like Catania, Amman, Singapore, or even Mumbai for 30,000 points are also great deals, especially when you can fly on solid airlines like Qatar Airways or Royal Jordanian.

Though for the European deals (Catania and Venice), you can generally get better prices with programs like Flying Blue, Virgin Atlantic, or others.
How do you get Atmos points?
There are a few ways to get Atmos points… for starters, you can get an Atmos co-branded card (like my favorite one) or transfer Bilt Points.
But a co-branded card won’t get you these flights in the next two days, and most people don’t have Bilt points.
In that case, you could also buy Atmos points. 👇
Now, I wouldn’t recommend doing this unless they’re offering a sale or bonus on purchased points.
Otherwise, the cash rates for flights would need to be REALLY expensive to justify buying points.
Still, if you’re running a few thousand points short, it could be an easy way to top up your balance.
The bottom line
Atmos is out with a bunch of sweet new deals, with the headline being Hawaii for 11,500 points each way.
Lock in your flights before the end of November 7 to snag these deals.
And if you don’t have Atmos points now, get some before next month. 🫵

🏨 Buy D$ with a 15% discount
You may remember earlier this year when I introduced you to GHA Discovery, a hotel chain and loyalty program that I thought was super underrated.
Well, I’ve got news:
Nothing has changed, and it’s still incredibly underrated.
If you want a quick 1-minute rundown of the program, go read that old newsletter first.
The newsletter also breaks down the status match that I signed up for that left me with $75 toward a free stay, along with Titanium elite status.

Anyway, D$ is the currency of GHA, and is basically a one-to-one value with USD toward hotel bookings. So if a hotel costs $75, D$75 will get you that hotel for free.
And right now, GHA is selling D$ with a 15% discount.

In other words, you can buy D$100 for $85 USD. For the right booking, it’s a way to save some easy cash.
For example, I will be in Jakarta in a couple of weeks, where I plan to stay at the Pan Pacific (one of the nicest and newest luxury hotels in the city), which costs $165 (after tax) for a night.

I already have D$75 from the status match, which leaves me paying $90 out of pocket.
Instead, I can buy D$90 for $76.50, saving me $14. 👇

That’s not crazy savings, but it’s not bad for one minute of my time.
A 15% discount on more expensive stays would obviously be more meaningful.
So don’t sleep on GHA discovery.
Oh, and by the way – that status match is still a thing. So go re-read the newsletter about it and consider taking advantage of it to get status through December 2027.

And that does it for today, friends. Take care and see you tomorrow to finish off the week.
